Comments: Since 1972, I have been living in the most beautiful city, DeLand, the history of the area, Stetson University, the majestic oaks, the arts, the theatre, the natural parks and being 20 to 30 miles from Daytona Beach and Orlando makes this the perfect spot in Florida.
As a professional land surveyor for over 35 years, I have been fortunate to see the beauty of the most wonderful natural sites in central Florida BEFORE they were developed. I know this is not the forum for a political debate, but, preservation of our wetlands and drinking water sources are of paramount importance to us for the the future.
In the mean time, I have had the good fortune to
have 3 daughters (1 Registered Nurse, 1 CPA & 1 RNA) so they are always looking out for my health and my wealth (LOL). Also, at last count, 3 grandaughters and 2 grandsons who keep us all busy with YMCA soccer.
Also, I am a life member of the West Volusia Historical Society, MainStreet DeLand Association and the DeLand Elks Lodge, as well as a Past Director of the Florida Society of Professional Land Surveyors and Past President (3 times) of the Volusia County Chapter FSPLS.
Currently, I am self employed providing consulting services to local surveyors, attorneys and property appraisers.
