Sorry to announce that our classmate and good friend known to many of us, Stephen C. Moose, passed away on January 25, 2022, at approximately 2:30 pm. Memorial Services will be announced at a future date. Haisley Funeral home will be handling details.

Funeral service for Stephen C. Moose now scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 15th, at Haisley funeral home in Fort Pierce, Fl. The Service will be at 12:00pm with a reception to follow.

I met Steve in 1962 , I had a paper route on his street and he would help me deliver papers , he had endless enthusiasm. (We had fun) When my mom was in intensive care in 1986, I left NC and moved back to FP, Steve helped me set up a home work environment . I could never thank him enough ! Steve was always a super caring and original GOOD Guy! Miss you buddy , may your soul rest in peace, C U Later !

I'm devastated on hearing the news of Steve Moose passing. I fondly remember our crazy times in the water, surfing, and skiing (under Little Jim bridge). Our trip to the Daytona 500, our penny poker games, trying to play golf and drowning shrimp trying catch Moby Dick with my Dad's boat. As you can tell my memories of Steve were always fun filled times. Friendly, cheerful and always eager!
I mourn his passing. Rest in peace, Steve!

My lifelong, good friend is no longer with us in the flesh, but he is in my heart forever, and I will cherish many memories of him from age 4 at nursery school, through elementary school, high school, college, Sailboat business, partying days, my "married with children" years, and until now, as old men. He called me on Christmas Day and we had a good talk. I'm so thankful for that call. Too many memories to count. He was a warm-hearted, brilliant man, who would do anything he could to help his friends and family. I'll miss him greatly!
