So sorry to hear of Richards passing Such a kind and thoughtful person. He will be missed by not only his family but the many people who were fortunate to call him friend. R.I.P. Richard, the world is a dimmer place since you've passed!...Rosie Hunter Theobald
Just heard about the passing of Richard, my heart is deeply saddened by the loss of a great classmate. I’m sending my condolences and prayers to the family for strength during this difficult time.
I just joined the site and as I was attempting to join my classmates told me that Dick Parker had established the site and he was the I should get in touch with if I was having problems. Unfortunately, when I did get the address and attempted to log in I noticed his name a few site below with the words deceased in parenthesis. My mind immediately became saddened because I thought back to the Fall of 1965 when we first came over to St Lucie County Jr High School. There is where we became the first to integrate the school system and that’s when I met Richard “Dick” Parker. He was in my home room and we had several classes together and we became somewhat friendly with each other. That relationship remained the same throughout our days there as well as our time at Dan McCarty. I hope the family will take comfort in knowing that Dick made a good name for himself as it is mentioned in Paul’s words at Eccl 7:1. Though it may be late in coming, my Heart and sentiments goes out to his survivors, family, and friends. We shall see him again in Paradise Earth.
