All Class Party 2012

Our All Class Party

Oct. 27th 2012

Sponsored by the Classes of 69, 70 & 71

On a cool and breezy October night as the Treasure Coast breathed a sigh of relief after successfully dodging Hurricane Sandy the graduating Classes of 69, 70 and 71 (McCarty & Central) converged on Cobb’s Landing in old downtown Ft. Pierce just as the sun began to set over the cattle ranches and orange groves of St. Lucie County.

It was like the last 40 plus years just melted away and we were again walking the open breezeways on Rat Day, and looking forward to the Burning of the Indian.  Although it was hard to not notice the graying hair, or in some cases the lack thereof, it was impossible to miss the twinkle that remains in the eyes of this melting pot of classes even if they were surrounded with a few extra crows feet.  We had come home… again.   It has been said that there is no friendship like childhood friendships and that night proved that statement’s truth beyond a shadow of a doubt.

As designed the night turned out to be a laid-back Dutch-treat evening, with a dash of 60s Rock and a few hunderd photos in a PowerPoint that everyone really enjoyed..  Let me assure you, as the photos will show, a good time was had by all.

Now the next time we throw a shindig I’ll bet you will not miss it for the world.  Oh, and by the  way, all you Gator fans that used the Florida/Georgia game as a reason (AKA excuse)  to miss our little swaray – see it serves you right.

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as the 130-some-odd (mostly odd) attendee enjoyed posing for them.

Keepin’ the Spirit Alive
